Attendees will choose their review appointments on Friday, October 6th.

In this way, no one will have an early registration advantage.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS: 

The Emerging & Professional Portfolio Review will be held at the Javits Convention Center, NYC, October 26th – 28th.

Registration: Photographers register for the Portfolio Review Program. There is a low Daily Registration fee of $15 per day.

Review blocks are scheduled on October 26th, 27th, and 28th as follows:

Block One: 9:00am – 11:25am [six 20-minute review segments]

Block Two: 11:40am – 2:05pm [six 20-minute review segments]

Block Three: 2:20pm – 5:10pm [seven 20-minute segments]

Block Four: 5:25pm – 7:45pm (THURSDAY, October 26th ONLY) [six 20-minute segments]

Starting on September 15th, our staff will review each registered photographer’s website. We’re looking to verify status as an emerging or professional photographer and evaluate the suitability of the work for the review program at PhotoPlus Expo. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact the photographers directly to discuss. Should it be determined that the registrant is not yet ready to present work in our program, they’ll be given an immediate 100% refund.

Our job is to help match photographers to the reviewers they choose.

All pre-registered attendees will receive three emails from us reminding them that on Friday, October 6th, they should log back into our registration site and make their reviewer selections. 

Attendees will be able to number them in order of preference. We will use our best efforts to guarantee at least three of every five reviewer choices. For photographers purchasing 10 or more reviews, two day’s attendance is advised. For those we cannot allocate (unlikely), we will assign reviews from the attendee’s “alternates” list or “like” affiliation reviewers. For example, if the last two choices are from the Editorial affiliation, we will assign other magazine photo editors or art directors from a similar magazine category. Attendees should be present in our waiting area at least 15 minutes before their scheduled review. We reserve the option to allow others to take the review if attendees are not in the waiting area when the review is scheduled to begin.

Each morning beginning at 8:00am, attendees will be able to register for standby reviews, subject to availability and on a first-come-first served basis. Reviews are by appointment only. Additional series of one, five, ten, fifteen or twenty reviews each may be purchased onsite. We will have a special desk where attendees will be able to check their portfolios before or after their reviews so that they can explore PhotoPlus Expo.

Fees and Refunds: Reviews are purchased in blocks of five. The price for 5 reviews is $375. There is a 10% discount that is applied when 15 or more reviews are purchased (not combinable with other discounts).

Because of the time-sensitive nature of reserving portfolio reviews, we can only refund 100% of your registration fees until midnight, Friday, September 30th, 2017. Between October 1st and October 5th, we can refund 50% of your registration fees in case of cancellation, and after October 6th, no refunds will be made.

Should it be determined by our editors that the registrant is not yet ready to present work in our program, they’ll be eligible for a 100% refund.
